Auburn lost more than $600K on BCS title trip

Auburn reported losing $614,106 from a trip that produced the Tigers' first football national title since 1957, more than doubling the deficit incurred by Oregon. Auburn spent $352,974 more than Oregon on their trips to the BCS Championship Game in January, according to NCAA bowl expense reports obtained by The Birmingham News through open-records requests.
